John Bullock
CPL – Chief Executive OfficerLeading our organization is John Bullock, a Certified Professional Landman whose extensive industry knowledge spans over 10 years of specialized experience in abstracting, leasing, curative, due diligence, and comprehensive land services. As our Chief Executive Officer, John brings operational excellence to every project, managing personnel, project workload, and productivity with the precision that our clients demand.
Since joining the MAO team in 2008, John has successfully overseen projects across Louisiana, Colorado, Arkansas, New Mexico, Utah, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Texas, Mississippi, and surrounding areas. His professional credentials include membership in the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), the Houston Association of Professional Landmen (HAPL), the Denver Association of Professional Landmen (DAPL), the Permian Basin Petroleum Association (PBPA), and the Northern Appalachian Landman’s Association (NALA).
Roger Goudeau
RL – Abstract Department ManagerWith over 23 years of experience and extensive knowledge in leasing titles and abstracting throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas, Roger Goudeau brings unparalleled expertise to our abstract services. His proven track record includes successfully managing complex teams in major shale formations, such as the Fayetteville Shale and Haynesville Shale projects in southern Arkansas.
Roger’s meticulous approach to quality control ensures that every abstract meets our exacting standards. He maintains comprehensive client status databases and reports while personally training new team members in basic abstracting and tract plotting techniques. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology degree from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette, and he maintains active membership in the American Association of Professional Landmen.
Brian E. Kraus
CPL – Project ManagerBrian Kraus brings over 12 years of specialized experience in title, acquisitions, and curative work throughout the Appalachian Basin to our leadership team. Since joining MAO in 2016, he has served as our Appalachia Manager, overseeing staffing and general operations for complex projects throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia with expertise.
His diverse background includes extensive experience as a Project Manager, overseeing drilling and exploration projects for various natural gas operators. He has run full patent title searches, negotiated leases and mineral purchases, and secured documents to fulfill curative requirements. Brian’s unique perspective also includes experience as an intern and paralegal for a law firm representing landowners in oil and gas negotiations. He holds Certified Professional Landman status with the American Association of Professional Landmen, serves as a board member of the Baton Rouge Association of Petroleum Landmen (BRAPL), and maintains membership in the Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the AAPL (MLBC). Brian earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and American Bar Association-Accredited Paralegal Certification from Gannon University in 2011.
Zachary S. Buck
CPL – Leasing Department ManagerZach S. Buck leads our leasing operations, bringing 15 years of specialized experience in oil and gas services, with a primary focus on lease acquisition. As our Leasing Department Manager, Zach combines dynamic leadership with skilled negotiation abilities, delivering both efficiency and rigorous attention to detail that our clients expect.
Throughout his tenure with MAO since 2009, Zach has successfully purchased leases, managed complex leasing projects, and led leasing personnel teams. His unwavering commitment to customer service and professional, ethical reputation in the land service industry make him an invaluable asset to our leadership team. Zach maintains his Certified Professional Landman status with the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) and is an active member of the Lafayette Association of Professional Landmen (LAPL). He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Management from Louisiana State University in 2006.
